You can call me Ari - like the air

My goal is pretty simple: I want every client I work with to feel beautiful in their skin—and that taking professional photos can actually be fun and painless. I took up photography over 10 years ago as a hobby, while working in education, and from the moment I saw how light affects the mood and beauty of an image, I was hooked.

We have been taking family photos for the past 5 years, and I have never seen my kids enjoy having their photo taken as much as they did with Ari. She really took the time to capture the best of their personalities, from silly to serious, perfectly. The studio was warm and relaxing, with a rack of beautiful photo shoot ready clothing that we were able to use, and treats for the kids once they were finished. Her service didn’t stop with photography skills, she continued to help with framing, editing, and gallery wall design in our home. - Dinah C.

As my business has grown, I have too.

What started as a passion project has become a multifaceted photography and fine art business. I offer in-studio portraiture and outdoor sessions in Southern California, as well as sell luxury photography prints and custom aerial photography through my fine art side of the business. At the end of the day, my goal with everything I do is simple: I want to empower people to feel beautiful, confident, and comfortable in their skin. I want to create imagery that lives on through my clients’ legacies. And I want to make art that brings intention and memories and beauty into people’s homes and lives.

Over the years…

I knew I wanted to make a difference, one way or another.

I started my career over 10 years ago in education before picking up photography on the side, and I quickly fell in love with it. It merged so many things that are important to me: creating an empowering, easy experience for my clients, capturing the essence of children, family, and individual personalities through portraiture, and connecting with people who appreciate art that lasts a lifetime. I eagerly took in everything I could learn about the fundamentals of photography before taking my business full-time… and haven’t looked back since.

A note of gratitude for you—

Let me just say, when I was growing up—and even when I was in college and grad school—I never imagined getting to fuel my artistic side, work with inspiring people, and create something beautiful every day as my career. I knew I wanted to work with children and serve others, but the fact that this is my career is the cherry on top of my sundae. Every time someone books a session with me, every time a person hangs my work in their home… I feel enormously lucky to be able to bring a slice of joy to their world. For that, just know that I’m beyond humbled—thank you for trusting me with your memories.

    I was raised in Newport Beach and still call it home (even though I left for a few years to get a BS from UCSB and 2 masters degrees from NYU).

    I firmly believe there’s not much an almond croissant and a flat white (in a pretty mug, of course) can’t fix.

    I have three kids who make me a better mom, artist, and individual every single day. Their budding personalities, and bonds with each other, inspire me to capture the authentic relationships my clients have with one another.

    Apart from portrait photography, I have a thriving fine art landscape photography online boutique. I am an avid aerial photographer and film photographer.
